Atlanta United Game
What an incredible day it was when our Evansdale school community came together at the Atlanta United soccer game on Sunday! The energy was simply off the charts, creating an unforgettable experience for all who were there. From the fun and laughter to the after-game penalty kicks on the field, every moment exceeded our expectations. And to top it all off, we received a customized Evansdale jersey! A massive thank you goes out to Jennifer Alexander for her outstanding communications with families, which played a vital role in making this event such a success.
Art & Music Night

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the arts and all of the parent volunteers!

Square 1 Art
Parents, please don't forget that we have our Square 1 Art fundraiser going on right now and all orders are due on Wednesday, April 24th. Square 1 Art is an art fundraiser where families can purchase items with their child's artwork printed on them. These items include but are not limited to, coffee mugs, blankets, pillows, phone cases, masks, refrigerator magnets, etc... Please order online using THIS LINK and the items will be shipped directly to your house before summer break.
These products make great keepsakes or gifts for Mother's Day and Father's Day! A percentage of sales will go to our Evansdale PTA who help support funding for our art and music programs here at Evansdale. Please let Mrs. Petrucelli know if you have any questions or if you have lost your art access code that was on the Square 1 Art catalogs.
Independent Learning Day, April 8th, 2024
To provide a safe viewing of the Great American Eclipse on April 8, the DeKalb County School District (DCSD) has decided to make that day an independent learning day for students and school-based employees. The safety and well-being of our students remain a top priority for DCSD, and while experiencing a solar eclipse is exciting and educational, looking directly at an eclipse can damage a student’s eyes. The independent learning day would also ensure students and staff are not on the roads and highways during the time of the eclipse, which is expected to begin at 1:45 p.m. and end at 4:21 p.m., during dismissal time for DCSD schools. We encourage families who plan to experience the eclipse to be safe and protect their eyes by wearing eclipse-viewing glasses. Families can visit DCSD’s website for more safety tips.
